What is your new patient procedure?
Patient's will start with a consult call to discuss concerns and referral to OT services. We will then schedule an evaluation which consists of parent interview, observation, and assessments depending on concerns. From there, eligibility and frequency will be determined for ongoing treatment sessions.
What is the patient portal?
The patient portal is specific to each client. It provides a way for the therapist and client to communicate securely. In the portal, you are able to sign and submit intake and consent forms, upload documents, schedule recurring appointments, receive therapist provided documents and home education, and pay for sessions securely.
How do I get a referral for occupational therapy?
To get a referral for occupational therapy, you first need to discuss your concerns with your physician. Your physician will then send a referral for services directly to Playful Pathways Therapy. Referrals should be faxed to 218-520-3923. Once a referral is received, you will then be contacted by Playful Pathways Therapy to schedule an evaluation.
How much will my copayment be?
Copayment and coinsurances depend on the client's health insurance plan and deductible. We advise calling your health insurance plan for verification of occupational therapy services.
I don't have my insurance card with me, can I still receive treatment?
Playful Pathways Therapy will ask for your insurance information prior to your first visit in order to verify coverage of OT services and receive pre-authorization. We will also provide a personalized email link to your client portal prior to your first visit. In the portal, you are able to submit a copy of your insurance card, as well as informed consents and intake forms.
How do I make payments for an invoice or prompt same day payment?
Payments can be made by cash or check. They can also be made online through your patient portal for credit/debit and HSA cards. These payments are processed securely through Stripe.
